Stress and weight gain

Stress has been linked to weight gain. The hormones and chemicals in the body called cortisol is a stress hormone that is triggered by stress to lead to weight gain. The body’s natural response to stress is to release the hormone adding weight to the body gradually.

There are various types of common stress. All lead to the chemical reaction to protect our bodies from harm. The flight response is triggered although most people fail to run. There is an increase of adrenaline with the stress reaction as well as increased blood flow and heart rate.

When people remain in a prolonged state of stress, the health risks are increased. The chronic state of stress also includes weight gain and depression. Following the long periods of stress, the individuals gain weight, become obese, face possibilities of heart disease, and stroke. In addition are the risks of death in the severe cases.

The creation of Cortislim to combat the levels of cortisol in the body was a diet break through helping to reduce the levels of hormones leading to weight gain and obesity. Many have used the diet aid to reduce the stress hormones to lose weight effectively.
When the natural and healthy levels of cortisol are unbalanced, the metabolism is disturbed. The energy levels are decreased and weigh is increased. Too much of the natural cortisol in the body makes losing weight a battle and seemingly hopeless.

The cravings of certain foods are increased with the higher hormones levels. Instead of eating a healthy diet, the fattening foods filled with starches and sugars replace the commonly consumed foods to meet the cravings of stress. The cravings and satisfying them lead to weight gain.

With the cravings comes the increase of the sugar levels in the blood. Sugar naturally is used for energy yet with too much sugar in the blood without being used, it turns to fat. The extra sugar leads to mood swings, hyperglycemia, and fatigue. Too much stress is one of the contributing factors with all of these health related problems. The health issues resulting in this include heart attacks, diabetes, and stroke as well as weight gain.

All of the stress, consuming cravings, and excessive sugar lead to abdominal fat, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and fatigue. The storage of the fat is recorded in clinical research to have other more severe health issues.

Due to stress, many people will suffer from emotional eating. This is due to the cravings caused by cortisol levels that are increased. Most of the foods consumed are very unhealthy such as chips, ice cream, candy bars, and fried foods. The junk foods pack on the pounds. Fast foods are another culprit from stress.

Since many people are stressed, they do not eat healthy foods at home. Instead, they will buy fast foods that are high in fat and carbohydrates. The temporary satisfying of the hunger with the fast food leads to fat building in the body.

Another factor with stress is the feeling of being too busy or too tired to exercise. Since exercise is important to leading a healthy life and maintaining a proper weight, the lack of the vital activity is closely associated with weight gain and stress. The fact many people will sit in front of the television or computer to relieve stress instead of using exercise to deal with the personal stress is a common practice for many Americans. The essential exercise and healthy eating habits are forgotten due to stress.

Stress and weight gain go hand-in-hand. Studies show this fact. Look around at the number of overweight people to see how unhappy they are or how stressed they appear. The facts are there without any research to prove it.
