How to lose weight by drinking water
In survey by the CDC in 2002, a noted
65% of all American adults 20 years of age and older were over considered overweight. In a more startling
statistic is about 30% in that age groups were considered obese. This means there are many obese individuals
with health issues that could reduce their risks by losing weight.
The solution to losing weight is easy when considering the body is about 70% water.
This means that the body needs water to function properly, which is one of the reasons many people are overweight,

Water provides many benefits. It washes the toxins and fats from the body. It
provides the essential liquids to the bones, muscles, teeth, hair, and skin to stay strong and healthy. It helps
the functions of vital organs such as the kidneys, liver, bladder, and intestines. It keeps the skin smooth and
youthful.
It has been reported that it is vital to consume eight 8-ounce glasses of water as
a minimum daily for optimal health. This is far below the number most people consume. They fail to drink enough
water instead replace the vital liquid with coffee, tea, and soda. Those liquids fail to meet the required
nourishment for the body and lead to the overweight and other health issues that include high blood pressure,
diabetes, cancer, colds, flu, and heart disease.
To calculate the amount of water each individual needs daily is an easy formula.
Divide the weight by two, which is the amount of ounces needed. An example of this is an individual weighing 140
pounds would need 70 ounces of water daily. It seems like a great deal of water but the body needs that crucial
amount to function properly.
To get into the habit of drinking the right about of water is made easier when
adding pure lemon juice to the water to create a sweeter tasting liquid. Purchase or save used containers to keep
the water and refrigerate the containers.
Take the number of ounces for your weight and make the water bottles. If you need
to drink 60 ounces a day, calculate the number of ounces per bottle and make up a stock in the frig. This will make
it easier to access the water when you need something to drink. It will also act as a reminder to drink the water
when you see the bottles in the frig waiting for you.
Drink water first thing in the morning when you wake up. Jump-start your
metabolism with the fresh and cooled water. You body has gone without liquids for about eight hours so give it what
it needs the most. You will find you feel more refreshed and ready to face your day with water in your
system.
Before each meal, drink one 8-ounce glass of water. This serves two purposes. It
will supply the needed liquids to your body and make you eat less. The water will make you fill fuller and eat less
food as well as cleanses your system.
When you start to grab something to eat, drink a glass of water instead. The water
will replace the urge to eat and help you lose weight in the process. Get into the habit of drinking water
throughout the day. You will snack less and have smaller meals leading to meeting your weight loss
goals.
