Eat and lose weight
How consoling! Is it possible to keep
eating and still lose weight? It is possible and it works. This advise will be based on two singular
pieces of common sense: taste and metabolism.
Let’s face it, any serious weight loss effort is costly, especially since it
requires such an effort from us. Now won’t it be just great to eat as much as you can (and whatever) you want and
still lose weight? Yes and no! True, it is possible to eat as much as you want and lose weight but the same cannot
be said as for eating whatever you want. That paradigm and possibly diet and taste shift is the focus of this
page.

I will not forget the singular advice my sister gave me about losing weight.
“Change your taste”, she said.
Just that? Yes, and in that simple three-word statement lies a basic truth about
how we both gain weight and how to lose weight. Change your taste and then you can eat as much as you can. That’s
right.
The reason behind that is pretty simple. Different types of foods contains
fattening components in varying degrees. One thing that fat-inducing ones have in common is that they are sweet,
which translates obviously to sugar! So it is possible to eat as much as you want and still lose weight.
Everybody likes to take the path of “least resistance”. In weight loss, we have to
deliberately “deny” the body that road. I say deny not because we necessarily have to suffer while losing weight,
but because if left to itself, our bodies are not likely to make any effort. That is why we put in a lot of sugar
in our tea. But ask yourself this: why are there some people who will not tolerate sugar in their coffee? Why are
there people who enjoy drinking beer while some others say that beer is too bitter? It’s a question of
taste.
The taste buds can be trained to begin to like food with less sugar, and a time
will come when we cannot do otherwise.
Take coffee for instance. Do you realize that you lose a chance to appreciate the
aroma of good coffee because you down the liquid only for its taste (usually sugary) content? Now try for a change
to drink your (sugarless) coffee in this way: Take up the cup, sniff the content, savour the aroma of coffee coming
from the hot liquid, “think” about it and then sip it. It tastes bitter? Of course, but it is not less beautiful.
Convince yourself that you miss all this when sweetness becomes your major reason for taking coffee.
I know it has worked for me. There is now something artificial about
“adulterating” my coffee with sugar.
This is one reason I recommend the Diet Solution Program.

If you want to lose weight, reduce the amount of calories you take in and waste
off those calories you took in already (perhaps before finding this page). You need to increase the rate of your
body’s metabolism. When you eat, the body breaks down the food (metabolism) and through the “internal distribution
network” – veins, blood vessels, those the body finds useful are taken up into the blood stream, while the rest are
removed from the body.
It is this “removed from the body” that is the issue at stake here. Remove as much
junk from your body as possible; ensure that the “internal engine” of your body’s metabolism is working at its peak
and you will lose weight no matter how much you eat.
One thing to remember though that the rate of
metabolism is higher in younger persons than in older, so while a young person will rely on her normal daily
activities to give her enough exercise to increase metabolism, an older person has to “work” it
more.
You need to learn how to increase your body’s metabolism.
